This slideshow features the images of photographer Jake Hardy, who attended the Black Lives Matter protests in Manchester during May and June 2020.
On Sunday 31 May 2020, Jake took a series of 66 images at the protests. Accompanying the images on display is Jake’s personal story of what it felt like to take part in the Black Lives Matter protests.
A large selection of the images are now part of People’s History Museum’s collection, acquired as part of the museum’s contemporary collecting work carried out during lockdown.
On display in the Mini Theatre in Main Gallery One.
