Event | Chile Solidarity Campaign – 50th anniversary archive open day

The coup led to international outcry.  In the aftermath, individuals and organisations around the UK rallied to Chile’s aid.  Campaigners demanded human rights for the people of Chile, protesting against the violent repression of the country’s dictator General Augusto Pinochet.

Together these collections lay out in detail the story and breadth of UK solidarity with the struggle for human rights and social justice in Chile, revealing the important work of the CSC in raising public awareness of the plight of Chileans.
