Come face to face with a colourful selection of historic and contemporary banners, the handiwork of those who fought for the rights we have today.
Including several banners on display for the first time, the 2024 Banner Exhibition features those of trade unions of the 1900s, through to notable strikes of miners, teachers, and health workers, to more recent campaigns on migration and disability rights.
With their memorable messages and motifs, these banners are striking representations of groundbreaking moments of protest and the people united by them.
Our 2024 Banner Exhibition is the most accessible banner exhibition to take place at PHM. A range of accessible formats have been created to enable visitors to engage with the exhibition in different ways;
Although there are a range of accessible formats available, we understand everyone’s access needs are different. If you want to discuss your access needs with a member of the museum team, you can contact us on access@phm.org.uk or by phoning on 0161 838 9190.
Family Friendly exhibition, suitable for all ages.
