Join this creative workshop for some stitching, chatting, and sharing inspired by the museum’s collections.
What is the right to strike and is it under threat? In this workshop we will visit the On The Line: 100 years of strikes & solidarity exhibition to explore how workers first secured the right to strike in the 1800s, how strike protections have changed and how that has impacted us today.
Participants will create textile responses to the discussions, which will be used as part of a collective textile piece in future workshops
Part of PHM’s programme of activity exploring the history of strikes and solidarity.
