Join this creative workshop for some stitching, chatting, and sharing inspired by the museum’s collections.
As part of our plans to mark the centenary of the Equal Franchise Act of 1928, The Fabric of Protest workshops invite you to explore contemporary ideas of equality and equity through the powerful banners on display in the ‘2027 Banner Exhibition’.
Inspired by the colours, words, and voices woven into these banners, participants will come together to imagine, discuss, and make; using textiles to explore how creativity can bring people and ideas together.
All textile abilities welcome, suitable for 12+ (under 16s must have an accompanying adult).
